My Dad: Do you need money for dinner?
Me: No. I just got paid.
My Dad: OK. Have fun tonight.
2 minutes later
My step-mom: Did Dad give you money.
Me: No.
My step-mom: I’ll get you some.
Me: Wait… I don’t need it.
My Dad: Hands me $20.
I can’t tell if I should be happy they gave me $20 or feel bad that it looks like I played my parents.
